About the Author

Up until his recent activity curtailment brought about by congestive heart failure, septuagenarian Carl Caiati has been an active motorcyclist and prolific author in the custom bike field,  writing upwards of twenty books on such varied subjects as Harley Davidson, bike customizing and painting, airbrushing and photography.

He is an accomplished airbrush artist and pin striper. authoring several major books on the art and the craft of motorcycle and automobile aesthetics.

He has written three books on Harley Davidson subjects as well as a major feature article for Popular Mechanics on Harley Davidson. His photography has graced the pages of Petersons Photographic, a Ziff-Davis Photographic Color annual and various video-graphic magazines.

His air art has appeared in Airbrush Digest and he has authored four major treaties on airbrushing, one of which was translated into German and marketed in Germany.

At present, the author resides in Rincon, Georgia where the atmosphere and weather are conducive to his interests and pursuits, which consist of photography, pin striping, and the creation of container cactus gardens.
